We aim to turn this vision into reality.
In our renovation projects for multi-family housing, we focus on improving living comfort and making housing more affordable by lowering running costs.

How do we make it happen?
With an optimistic outlook, a willingness to think differently, and innovative construction methods in the renovation of multi-family housing. We are convinced that the transition away from oil and gas will succeed. By harnessing renewable energy, what once seemed like a utopia can become a realistic vision of the future.
Three key factors come together in this approach – living, energy, and mobility – without compromising on comfort, efficiency, or affordability.

Serial renovation: does it meet people’s needs?
Is what we call “renovation” really what people need? That’s the question at the heart of our approach. Instead of focusing on isolated measures, we rely on serial renovation – built around three key attributes: accessibility, affordability, and comfort.
These three factors play a decisive role when people choose where to live, each with its own weight. The first is self-explanatory – the chemistry has to be right, even when it comes to finding a home. Then comes accessibility – how do I get to work, school, or daily errands? And perhaps most importantly: affordability.
In the end, quality of life is the common denominator in the renovation process.
Improved living standards
We want to contribute to improving living standards – and ultimately, quality of life. For us, space to breathe means more than a metaphor. It also means creating real, physical space. A balcony that can be easily added to any existing building helps residents feel more comfortable in their own homes.

Modern Mobility
Mobility plays an important role not only in new construction but also in building renovation. How do we get from A to B? Can we choose between different modes of transport and pick the best option at any given time?
According to Klaus Pichlbauer, living space and mobility are directly connected. That’s why for more than 30 years, we have been developing and building system solutions that enhance both – improving the way people live and move.
Independent energy supply
Modern mobility and improved living standards require an independent energy supply. Without oil and gas, we aim to harness the power of the sun, enabling every building to produce its own electricity and heat. The goal: buildings that are almost completely energy self-sufficient.
We use surfaces such as balconies and façades to generate solar energy – even low winter sun offers impressive potential. In addition, canopies over residential areas and parking spaces supply renewable energy for both housing and mobility. At the intersection of these elements stands a home that enhances quality of life – a place where people feel comfortable and can use their own PV-generated energy directly.
Reducing housing costs for greater affordability
Operating costs can be significantly reduced when a building produces and uses its own energy. The generated power is stored and consumed directly on site – covering common-area electricity needs and supporting heating and hot water production with surplus solar energy. This leads to lower operating costs and, as a result, more affordable rent levels.
Why is this so important?
For us, affordability is just as important as quality of life.
Everyone should be able to afford a place to live. In the end, what really matters is what’s deducted from your account each month. If housing is not affordable, then the vision of higher comfort and lower living costs will remain nothing more than a utopia.
INNOVAMETALL-Solutions
What do we offer? We don’t just create products – we develop solutions. In serial renovation, our approach is built on three pillars:
- sybkon energy balcony: Our sybkon energy balconies generate climate-neutral electricity directly within the residential complex. The sybkon system is based on flexible, prefabricated modules that can be adapted to each building.
- Solar Sky Park: We don’t like wasting space – that’s why our Solar Sky Parks transform ordinary parking areas into high-performance charging parks. The solar canopies produce sustainable energy right where it’s needed: at the parking lot.
- safetydock-system: Our safetydock software ensures that the generated energy in residential and parking areas is used exactly where it’s needed. It stores and distributes electricity – efficiently, intelligently, and around the clock.
Our version of serial renovation
In our approach to serial renovation, prefabricated modules take center stage. This enables multiple benefits – and ultimately helps reduce housing costs. The renovated buildings generate their own energy, both environmentally friendly and cost-efficient. We focus on system-based solutions that, among other things, eliminate the traditional separation between concrete and steel construction.
Depending on the project, we not only improve existing systems but also rethink them entirely – creating new perspectives, adding value, and lowering costs.
We never rest on past achievements or the status quo. By taking initiative, testing ideas, and proving that they work, we continue to move toward a more climate-neutral future.
