OUR WAY OF THINKING

our mission

At INNOVAMETALL, our goal is not just to improve existing solutions, but to rethink them entirely – and to link proven technologies in ways that open new paths. Using the power of the sun, we turn residential buildings into nearly energy-independent living spaces and transform sealed parking lots into modern charging parks – delivering affordable housing and affordable mobility.

Our brands sybkon, safetydock, and trimover make it all possible. Our sister company elmocon ensures the smooth operation of all services.

What you can expect from us

Ideas & Creativity

“Impossible” is not part of our vocabulary. No matter how ambitious a project may seem, we develop ideas with creativity, passion, and expertise to make it possible. And this applies to every project. Because we firmly believe that even standard tasks can always be solved a little more efficiently and intelligently.

Efficiency

Time- and cost-efficient – that’s how we work, in every area. Thanks to early involvement in projects, we can fully exploit valuable efficiency potential, optimize interfaces, and – with a high degree of prefabrication – reduce time-consuming assembly work and disruption on site.

Resource protection

Be it sybkon balconies, safetydock mobility concepts, or trimover – our aim is always to reduce environmental impact and create intelligent solutions for resource conservation. Examples include photovoltaic balconies, safetydock stations for e-mobility, and even e-cars used as solar energy storage.

Creating value

Balconies and roof terraces, residential complexes with charging stations for e-bikes, or mobility hubs at train stations and stops – these concepts not only improve quality of life and user comfort but also increase property value and enhance the city’s image.

Leadership spotlight – Klaus Pichlbauer & Silvia Thurnhofer

Klaus Pichlbauer

„My INNOVAMETALL story actually began by coincidence. What I had planned as a short period between military service and my studies at the Montanuniversity Leoben turned out to be a truly decisive step. At that time, the main focus was on steel and glass constructions – something new and exciting back then. Luckily, I was given the freedom to apply these in different projects. The further development of systems and the integration of new materials and technologies into our portfolio still drive me today.“

Energy, mobility, and affordable housing with quality and comfort – these are the topics that inspire and motivate Klaus Pichlbauer, pushing him to continuously develop innovations that meet the changing demands of our time. His aim: to create added value in construction and the mobility industry. This enthusiasm is not only his own but also shared with the entire team. For him, it is always about finding and realizing the best – even unconventional – solutions. That means setting new standards for modern renovation, energy independence, and mobility. A mindset that the new company site in Freistadt already embodies.

Silvia Thurnhofer

„There is never a moment when I don’t want to improve something – adjust a workflow, adapt a process step, or create new structures. That’s just how we are at INNOVAMETALL. We always want to make things a little better – especially when it comes to mobility and housing.“

After graduating from the Handelsakademie Perg, Silvia Thurnhofer spent eight years in inside sales at a renowned Austrian sensor specialist. In 2008 she joined INNOVAMETALL, working in various areas – from sales support to selling urban furniture in the field, and later as head of office and administration. Today, Silvia Thurnhofer is an authorized signatory and, together with the team, lives the “mission” of constantly rethinking the existing. Even when balancing office work and family life can sometimes be turbulent..

INNOVAMETALL HISTORY

From the 1990s to today

It all began in a small engineering office covered in graffiti, with a modest workshop attached. Located directly on the A7 in Linz, INNOVAMETALL produced and sold passenger shelters, bike stands, and urban furniture – and even carried out its first small housing projects. By coincidence – originally just as a stopgap between military service and his studies at the Montanuniversity Leoben – Klaus Pichlbauer took a job at INNOVAMETALL. That marked the beginning of a continuous expansion.

Project construction soon developed into a main focus at INNOVAMETALL, with production and installation capacities growing steadily. Around this time, the idea for safetydock emerged – a unique concept for integrated mobility infrastructure. From then on, our work increasingly shifted toward integrated and networked concepts.

In 2011, Klaus Pichlbauer took over as managing director, driving continuous expansion across all fields – from residential construction with the sybkon balcony system to mobility concepts and landmark project developments.
