Cycling is becoming increasingly important in Austria. With growing numbers of cyclists and expanding cycling routes, the quality of infrastructure is now more crucial than ever. Cycling competence – for better infrastructure

The platform “Radkompetenz Österreich” promotes high-quality cycling solutions, builds international networks and facilitates knowledge exchange across Europe. As a proud member, INNOVAMETALL is actively involved in improving Austria’s cycling infrastructure – working with leading experts from planning, consulting, production and research to support the federal climate strategy and help double Austria’s cycling share by 2030.

Get involved: Report missing bicycle parking!

To further improve everyday cycling infrastructure, INNOVAMETALL has launched a new initiative. Cyclists can now report urgently needed bicycle parking spaces via fahrrad@innovametall.at.
Using our extensive municipal network and many years of experience, INNOVAMETALL will reach out to local authorities or property owners to identify and realise suitable parking solutions. This way, every cyclist can play an active role in improving Austria’s cycling infrastructure.

INNOVAMETALL awards a bicycle stand

As part of this initiative, INNOVAMETALL will donate a high-quality bicycle stand to one municipality at the 2025 Cycling Network Conference. This event brings together committed people dedicated to promoting cycling in Austria. With workshops, best-practice examples and discussions with representatives from municipalities, politics and the Province of Upper Austria, it provides valuable input for a safer, more bicycle-friendly future.
