- New build, client: WSO, 2023/2024
- Photovoltaic and glass balconies (frames)
- 42 balconies (including 24 PV balconies) + 13 terraces
- PV balconies combined with charred wood
- Bicycle shelter and waste enclosure with green roof and cladding in charred in-house wood production, stair railings made of oiled sheet steel, garden equipment shed, underground garage ventilation.
Challenge
The goal was to design a residential complex that created open spaces while also generating part of its own energy through integrated photovoltaic systems. In addition, sustainable and regional materials had to be incorporated seamlessly – both functionally and aesthetically.
Solution
The residential complex features energy balconies that sustainably generate electricity and blend harmoniously into the overall architectural design. Complementing this, regional charred wood was used – treated in our in-house kiln to combine long-lasting performance with a premium look.
Result
A project that unites sustainability, regional character, and innovation – meeting the demands of both residents and architectural design. The Vorchdorf residential complex stands out with its sustainable energy concept, high living comfort, and use of regional materials, achieving the ideal balance between functionality, aesthetics, and ecological responsibility.

Tenant feedback has been excellent. Many residents describe their new balcony as a true comfort zone and a place to enjoy.
