Challenge: AFFORDABLE LIVING SPACE ACCORDING TO MODERN STANDARDS

People are looking for quality of life that remains affordable. They are looking for living concepts that meet high standards in terms of mobility and security and also break new ground in terms of environmentally conscious energy supply. The new Ödenburger Strasse neighbourhood offers suitable living space for precisely these people. Realising such a project naturally poses a variety of challenges and requires a holistic view in order to be able to develop and realise ideas for very specific requirements.

The close proximity of the residential building to the railway station and train services and the unusual leisure facility on the roof required INNOVAMETALL to come up with solutions that focus on other, but crucial, aspects and are optimally interlinked.

SOLUTION: A HOLISTIC CONCEPT WITH INTELLIGENT IDEAS

Conventional balconies, canopies, staircases, railings, handrails and much more - INNOVAMETALL was not only responsible for the classic metalwork. We also used our sybkon system to create walkways on the roof of the leisure centre and around the swimming pool. We installed Lumon glazing to provide lasting protection against noise and dirt.

Mobility also played an important role in this project. In the bicycle cellar, we installed high-quality Easylift double-decker parkers and Kappa bicycle racks, a service station for small bicycle repairs and a "Kiddis Corner" with bicycle racks for small and young cyclists. The result is an exceptionally high-quality bicycle infrastructure that shows how housing and mobility can be intelligently combined today.

We have also taken action not far from the supermarket on the ground floor, which has no car parking spaces, and have set up a safetydock mobility and parcel station - equipped with cargo bikes, e-bikes and bike trailers for hire. A popular offer for all those who want to be mobile and convenient when travelling and would like to leave their car behind. The safetydock parcel station was developed and implemented for the first time as part of this project. In the outdoor area, an INNOVAMETALL fog tree provides freshness in summer temperatures.

RESULT: A REFERENCE PROJECT FOR INTEGRATED RESIDENTIAL CONSTRUCTION

The Ödenburger Straße project is a prime example of INNOVAMETALL's expertise in the development of integrated housing and mobility solutions. Here, architecture, comfort, noise protection, mobility and quality of stay were combined in one project. The result is a residential building that shows how social housing can be designed for the future today.
